AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Mahdi Hadavi Tehrani, a member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt World Assembly, in a letter to Pope Leo XIV, expressed appreciation for his valuable efforts in promoting peace, human dignity, and constructive dialogue among the followers of divine religions.
The letter addressed to the Pope states: "I beseech Almighty God that Your Eminence always remain in health, success, and lasting peace. I consider it incumbent upon myself to express my deep appreciation and respect for your valuable efforts in promoting peace, human dignity, and constructive dialogue among the followers of divine religions."
The letter continues: "Your Eminence's role in strengthening peaceful coexistence, reducing human suffering, and expanding the moral teachings of religions is inspirational for the peoples of the world."
Another section of this letter states: "Undoubtedly, Your Eminence's emphasis on the shared values of monotheistic religions—such as love, justice, forgiveness, and the preservation of human dignity—can play a profound role in bringing hearts together and creating understanding among the followers of different faiths."
The letter also states: "I believe that cooperation among scholars and leaders of heavenly religions can be an effective step in strengthening lasting peace and reducing human suffering. It is hoped that under divine guidance, interfaith dialogues will expand further and pave the way for the good and welfare of humanity."
Another part of the letter states: "I have had the opportunity in past years to meet and converse with some of the high-ranking leaders of the Catholic Church, and I hope that in the near future, a meeting with Your Eminence will also be possible to exchange further views on matters of common interest."
The letter continues: "I beseech the All-Merciful God for the continued honor, health, and increasing success of Your Eminence in serving spirituality, morality, and global peace."
